On June 19, 2020, WIRAB members approved a 2021 WIRAB Business Plan & Budget (BP&B). The 2021 WIRAB budget is $1,205,500; $49,700 (4%) lower than WIRAB’s 2020 budget. WIRAB’s 2021 funding assessment is $986,300; the same amount authorized by FERC for WIRAB’s 2020 BP&B.
WIRAB’s 2021 BP&B reflects four strategic initiatives, focusing on: (1) Resource Adequacy; (2) Dynamic Transmission Line Ratings; (3) Reliability Coordinator Performance Metrics; and (4) Reliability Services for Achieving 100% Clean Energy Goals.
The WIRAB BP&B is developed as part of the overall funding process for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and will be submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) as part of a complete Electric Reliability Organization (ERO) enterprise budget for final approval.
