The Western Interstate Energy Board (WIEB) is pleased to announce the release of the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) to hire a contractor for a new study. This study will model and explore the operational flexibility of the electric power system in the Western Interconnection in anticipation of a changing resource mix over the next 10- to 15-years. The study pursues an interconnection-wide approach to identify cost-effective steps to improve the operational flexibility of the grid. This project is supported by funding from WIEB, the State of Washington, the State of Oregon, and other funding partners. The deadline for submitting a proposal for this RPF is Friday, November 2, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time / 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
