A “Women in Energy” lunch has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in Reno, Nevada in conjunction with the Fall 2017 Joint CREPC-WIRAB Meeting. The lunch meeting will take place at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel (Sage Room) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Carolyn Barbash, Vice President, Energy Market Policy, NV Energy. Ms. Barbash will share her extensive experience in the energy sector in a discussion format including her career path and approaching industry challenges from a woman’s perspective.
The organizers of the Women in Energy Lunch are Christine Lazaruk, Executive Director, Strategy and Integration, Alberta Energy; Frances Koncilja, Commissioner at the Colorado Public Utilities Commission; Amy Sopinka, Electricity Policy Analyst at the British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines; and Grace Anderson, California Energy Commission.
The capacity of the conference room is limited. We can accommodate 56 lunch guests. Please register for the meeting by responding to Holly Taylor. Registration will proceed on a first-come first-served basis until the limit is reached.
The cost of the lunch is $25 per person. Payment can be made in-advance at the registration desk for the Joint CREPC-WIRAB Meeting or the at the door to the Women in Energy Lunch (cash only).
