The State-Provincial Steering Committee (SPSC) and Western Interstate Energy Board (WIEB) are issuing an RFI seeking input on how to conduct a study that addresses two questions: ( 1) Will there be adequate natural gas infrastructure to meet the long-term needs of the electric industry in the Western Interconnection? (2) Will the gas system have adequate short-term operational flexibility to meet electric industry requirements in the Western Interconnection? Specifically, SPSC & WIEB seek information on approaches, analytical tools, appropriate project phases and data to analyze these two questions. The information will be used to further develop the scope of work for a Request for Proposal. The anticipated project would be funded through a contract with the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) and USDOE. We hope you will review the RFI and submit a proposal if you are interested.
This RFI is being sent to a number of consultants known to WIEB/SPSC and WGA. Please feel free to forward it to others who you think might find it of interest.
All questions and RFI responses must be sent to the following email addresses:email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org using the subject line “RFI Response: Western Natural Gas –Electric Assessment”
There will be an informational webinar-meeting with a question answer format on February 15, 2013, 11:30 a.m. MST.
Responses are due March 1, 2013, 5:00 p.m. MST.
